FOND DU LAC, Wis. (January 18, 2019) – Mercury Marine presented its 2018 Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) award to a record number of dealerships this year, all who embody the highest levels of customer satisfaction. The number of dealers earning the award this year has increased more than 12 percent from a year ago.
“We continually strive for service excellence and to ensure that our dealers share that same vision,” said Jim Helmick, Mercury Marine Director of Field Service Development and Operations. “Achieving a record number of winners in 2018 exemplifies our commitment to making boating better.”
Mercury Marine measures consumers’ satisfaction with the service performed on their Mercury outboard or MerCruiser Sterndrive and inboard products on numerous aspects of the experience. Customers who have recently sought service from a Mercury dealer are asked to rate their overall service satisfaction with the dealership, and to indicate their likeliness to re-visit the dealership again in the future.
“As the ratings are determined by customer feedback, it is considered one of the industry’s most prestigious awards,” Helmick said.
To be eligible for the award, dealerships must be a Mercury Premier Level or Certified Service Level dealer and have maintained a score of greater than 94 out of a possible 100 for 12 consecutive months. Mercury began the program in 2006.
The CSI score for each dealership is measured and monitored by Mercury Marine. After warranty work has been completed, Mercury sends out a Service CSI survey to the consumer, asking them to rate the service received.
“Customer Service is key to remaining competitive in the evolving marine market place and to retaining long-term customer relationships,” said Helmick. “The dealers who achieve the Service CSI Award status have shown themselves as the benchmark to the industry, delivering world-class service support and providing our customers with the service that they expect.”
FOND DU LAC, Wisc. (Jan. 2, 2019)— Mercury Marine will celebrate its 80thanniversary throughout 2019, reflecting on its strong heritage of innovation and leadership in the marine industry.

Mercury will celebrate its 80thanniversary throughout the year and showcase some of its strong heritage during the 2019 boat show season.
“We have a lot to be thankful for and a lot to celebrate,” said Pfeifer. “I’m looking forward to sharing those celebrations around the world. 2019 will be yet another exciting year with more innovations to introduce.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"We're excited to add the Grass Goat™ as yet another way we can help anglers get better performance from their trolling motor," T-H Marine’s president, Jeff Huntley, stated. "Weekend anglers and tournament anglers alike will love how the Grass Goat™ allows for easy and stealthy fishing through grass mats and other heavily-vegetated areas."
The Grass Goat™ is equipped with a marine-grade starboard mounting plate and a 316 stainless steel cutting blade, which runs perpendicular to the trolling motor prop, allowing it to instantly shred away vegetation.
The Grass Goat™ not only keeps a trolling motor clear of debris, it eats through vegetation like no other aftermarket trolling motor product and it is built for years of use under the toughest conditions. With the Grass Goat™ installed, anglers can quietly enter and navigate fishing spots with thick cover.
"The Grass Goat™ is the perfect addition to our G-Force® product line," Huntley added. "We love how it complements the Troll Perfect™ Tension Adjustment System, the Eliminator™ Prop Nut, the Silencer™ Vibration Control Pad, the G-Force™ Trolling Motor Lift Cable, the Equalizer™ Lift Assist, the Troll-Tamer™ Stabilizer Lock, and the Bounce Buster Coaster™.”
Like other G-Force® products, the Grass Goat™ installs in minutes with simple hand tools and it requires no modification to the trolling motor. Models will be available for both Minn Kota and MotorGuide trolling motors.
To prepare for orders, T-H Marine has brought tooling and manufacturing of the Grass Goat™ to its facility in Huntsville, Alabama. With fabrication and assembly of the product already underway, Huntley added that T-H Marine is ready to take orders and products will be available at thmarine.com/GrassGoat.
